Description: This large-scale oil painting addresses the classic human conflict of Good and Evil (선과 악) through a mythological abstract lens. I use the classical medium and scale to explore the theme of vulnerable innocence.
The central image—figures embracing infants near a symbolic cathedral (성당)—visualizes my concern: the subtle, pervasive temptations and societal forces that distract the mind from its true spiritual foundation. It shows the human spirit at its most susceptible, where the powerful seeds of moral compromise are sown in the earliest moments of life. This work is a contemplation on the profound fragility of virtue.
