Description: Inspired by the abundance of pomegranates growing in my backyard, this series is a study in abstract reinterpretation. I took the naturally red fruit, a cultural symbol of fertility and prosperity, and translated its form and color into a personal language of blue.
By giving the pomegranate my own distinct blue color and form, the artwork transcends literal representation, allowing the subject to exist in a realm of personal abstraction. The energetic blue and white shapes capture the fruit's internal structure and vitality, filtered through my unique artistic lens.
This work was previously exhibited at the Santa Fe Springs exhibition.
