Description: This piece, exhibited in the Korean Artists Association show at the Korean Cultural Center, is an exploration of tranquility and color mastery.
The creation process integrates traditional Korean Material: s to achieve a contemporary feel. Thin layers of rice paper (화선지) are delicately adhered to the canvas, creating a surface covered in subtle, fine wrinkles. This texture adds an organic, almost skin-like quality to the canvas.
The central field is saturated with a clear, cooling blue hue, using Asian Watercolor Pigments to evoke a sense of serene, refreshing clarity. The expansive blue field is dramatically framed by a custom-mixed gold color, which I synthesized from different pigments—a testament to the artist's command over color. This tension between the paper's delicate wrinkles, the serene blue clarity, and the assertive, handmade golden boundary creates a work that is both minimal and deeply textural.

이 작품은 한국 문화원 미협전에 출품되었던 작품으로, 고요함과 색채의 숙련도를 탐구한 작업입니다.
작업 과정은 전통적인 한국 재료를 사용하여 현대적인 느낌을 연출합니다. 화선지를 얇게 펴서 캔버스에 부착함으로써, 표면 전체에 작은 주름이 있는 섬세한 질감을 부여했습니다.
중앙의 넓은 면은 동양화 물감을 사용하여 청량한 느낌의 청색으로 채워져, 맑고 시원한 명료함을 불러일으킵니다. 이 광활한 푸른 면은 작가의 색채 숙련도를 보여주듯, 제가 다양한 색을 섞어 직접 만든 골드 색으로 마무리를 하였습니다. 종이의 섬세한 주름, 청량한 푸른빛, 그리고 작가가 직접 만든 황금빛 경계 사이의 긴장감이 미니멀하면서도 깊은 질감을 가진 작품을 완성합니다.
